The Founder
I'm Ben Maxwell, the founder of Compulsion Tech.
Compulsion Tech was established in 2015 while I was a 13 year old junior high school student, born out of a keen passion to help people with my technology skills. My interest and expertise in the computer field grew extensively during my intermediate schooling years along with my aptitude to turn my newfound skillset into a proper business.
Now in my twenties, I have managed Compulsion Tech's significant growth for over 9 years with the addition of a commercial premises and a team. We have proudly supplied a range of computing equipment to thousands of happy customers nation wide, whilst always maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction, service, and value.

Establishing Our Roots
Our journey brought us full circle back to Tauranga, the place where our roots run deep. Moving from Christchurch, we've not only re-established our presence in the BOP, but also expanded into a space that speaks to our growth: a new warehouse. This marks a homecoming as we take this large step forward into the expansive world of online ecommerce retailing.

It was at Canterbury University where Ben settled into the balancing act of immersing himself in uni studies by day and steering his business by night. Here, Compulsion Tech found its groove in the heart of a campus computer lab and between lectures and labs, the dual heartbeat of student ambition and business acumen kept pace, bringing together the seamless blend of education and entrepreneurship!

A year into our journey, Compulsion Tech's growth rocketed us into a new league. We waved goodbye to our startup status and became a GST registered company entity in 2016. This wasn't just about numbers; it was a testament to our commitment and the trust our customers had placed in us to provide them with the best home, gaming, and business computing solutions.
