Got a desktop PC sitting around? Trade it in and put the value toward your next prebuilt or custom build from Compulsion Tech. We work with our partner network to get you a fair trade-in price, and we can arrange freight anywhere in New Zealand. Remote assessment turnaround is typically 1–3 business days.
Step 1
Fill in the trade-in form below with your desktop's specs, condition, and what you're hoping to trade toward. The more detail you provide, the more accurate our initial assessment.
Step 2
Our team works with our partner network to assess your system and come back with a trade-in offer — usually within 1–3 business days. If your system has issues, we may arrange freight so we can inspect it in person.
Step 3
Accept the offer and the trade-in value goes straight toward your new prebuilt or custom build. We'll arrange NZ-wide freight to get your old system to us and your new one to you.

Trade-in FAQs
How long does the assessment take?
Remote assessment is typically 1–3 business days from when you submit the form. If we need to inspect the system in person to confirm condition or diagnose faults, we'll arrange freight and the timeline extends to allow for that.
What do you accept (and not accept)?
We accept: Desktop PCs only — prebuilt or custom, gaming or workstation, any brand.
We don't accept: Laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets, or any other peripherals. Desktop only.
Systems can be fully working, partially working, or non-functional — we assess everything on a case-by-case basis. If we can't determine condition remotely, we'll arrange freight to bring it in for a physical assessment.
What if my PC isn't working?
That's fine — we'll still assess it. Faulty or partially working systems may need to come in for a physical inspection so we can identify the issue and confirm part values. We can arrange freight for this.
How is the trade-in value determined?
We work with our partner network to determine a fair trade-in price based on your system's specs, condition, and current market values. You'll get a clear offer before any commitment.
Do you arrange freight?
Yes — we arrange freight New Zealand-wide through our courier partners. We'll provide instructions for safe packaging once your trade-in is confirmed.
Can I trade toward a custom build?
Absolutely. Your trade-in value can go toward any prebuilt PC or a fully custom build spec'd to your needs. Let us know in the form which direction you're leaning.
